👥 Administration
Under Administration you manage users and families. Access to it is restricted to system admins – family administrators may additionally set up the calendars of their own family.
Users
Create a new user
- Open the Administration item in the menu.
- Switch to the Users tab.
- Click + New user.
- Enter user name, password (required when creating), first and last name, e-mail and role.
- Assign the person a family and optionally a family role.
- Save – done.
Roles
- User – only uses the modules enabled for the family.
- Family administrator – additionally sets up the calendars of their own family, but does not manage users.
- System admin – creates families, manages users and sees all modules.
Family role
An additional role for the custody planner and notes context: Father, Mother, Child or none. Father and mother are unique per family – when assigning it, the role of the previous person is automatically revoked. Children can occur multiple times.
User list
The list can be filtered by family. People are coloured according to their family role; for each of them you see when they were last active (as a tooltip). A new account shows “Not used yet”. Deleting is possible, except for your own account.
Families
Create and edit a family
- Switch to the Families tab.
- Click + New family.
- Enter a name.
- Save – the family is immediately usable.
The default family “No family” can neither be renamed nor deleted. Whoever deletes a family, its members and data automatically move to the default family.
Modules (features) per family
For each family the modules can be enabled or disabled freely:
- Recipes
- Documentation
- Weekly assistant (incl. shopping list)
- To-do list
- Points
- Custody planner
- Holiday planning
- Household budget
- Receipts
- Notes
- Timetable
- Sick days
- Waste collection
- E-mail notifications
Deselected modules disappear from the menu and home screen for all members. System admins always see everything regardless. New families get all modules by default.
Demo family
Limited operation with 5 tasks, 5 recipes and 5 manual shopping list entries. The custody planner locks itself automatically 3 months after activation – under Details you can see when that happens.
Calendars
For each family ICS/CalDAV calendars can be set up:
- Name, URL, optionally user name and password
- Live connection test
- Automatic calendar discovery
- Manual sync
- Weekly plan calendar: write planned dishes to a calendar
- Federal state for public holidays and school holidays in the custody planner
More about this in the Handbook: Custody planner.
Access statistics
The menu item 📊 Access statistics is only available to system admins and shows who has accessed the app:
- Daily overview – all days with accesses, per day the number of unique IPs and of total views, plus the top IPs of the day.
- Daily detail – per IP country (with flag), region, city, provider and map coordinates, the number of views as well as the involved user names and reported devices.
- IP history – when a specific IP has accessed in the last 30 days and with which user accounts.
Authenticated API accesses are counted; so that polling does not fill the table, only one entry is created per IP about every five minutes. The country and provider information (GeoIP) is enriched by the app afterwards – entries older than 90 days are deleted automatically.
