At a glance
- Changeover rhythm
- 2 / 2 / 5 / 5 days
- Handovers
- 2 per week
- Split
- 50 / 50
- Particularly suitable if …
- longer, contiguous blocks are wanted while keeping an exact 50 / 50 split
Advantages
- +Fewer handovers than in the 2-2-3 model, but still regular contact
- +Longer blocks allow more everyday routine per parent
- +Can easily be kept up as the children grow older
Disadvantages
- −The rhythm is unfamiliar and has to be "learned" first – by the nursery/school too
- −Weekends do not automatically spread out evenly if you do not plan precisely
